While other automakers are putting snowflakes on their logos, Tesla is releasing an update that really changes the user experience. The 2025 holiday update is one of the largest in recent years. And yes, there is a Santa mode. But not only that.
Grok learns to drive (almost)
The main innovation is the integration of the Grok AI assistant into the navigation system. Now you can add and edit destinations by voice. It sounds simple, but try to explain to an ordinary navigator that you need to “stop for coffee along the way, but not at that Starbucks, but at a normal one.”
What else has appeared:
- Dog Mode on the iPhone — now the owner sees photos of the interior and temperature in real time via Live Activity
- Dashcam writes more data — speed, steering angle, autopilot status
- Spotify integrated deeper — adding tracks to the queue directly from the search
- Santa Mode — festive animation and sounds (yes, it's just entertainment)
There are nuances: not all functions are available for older models, and not in all regions. But the very fact that the automaker is releasing a serious software update for the holidays is already an application.
At Xrust.ru we have been following Tesla since the moment when it still seemed like an experiment. Now the experiment has become a standard: OTA updates like a smartphone, only for a car weighing two tons.
Xrust Tesla rolled out a holiday update: Grok became a navigator, and Santa became a mode
