Peel the pears from the core and skin and cut into cubes.
Pour the pears with sugar, pour in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, mix gently and leave for 2-3 hours.
After this time, the pears will release juice. Add the chopped vanilla pod or vanillin to the pan.
Put the pan on a small fire and bring to a boil, stirring gently, cook for 15 minutes.
Add poppy seeds to the pears, and pour in the second spoonful of lemon juice, and again put the pan on the fire and cook for another 10 minutes.
