Trump sues the BBC for libel – $10 billion lawsuit

Trump sued the BBC last Monday. He was outraged by the slander. The company edited his speech. It turned out that he called for storming the Capitol.

Trump accused the British state broadcaster of libel, writes xrust. Its employees edited fragments of his speech on January 6, 2021. The main point is where he called on supporters to march on the Capitol. In fact, he called for “fighting with all your might.” However, a passage in which he called for peaceful protests was omitted.

In the lawsuit, the president claims that the BBC defamed him by violating a Florida law prohibiting deceptive and unfair trade practices. He is seeking $5 billion in damages on each of the two counts.
