The software was designed to allow customers to monitor the overall computing performance of a chip, a common practice among companies that purchase processor fleets for large data centers.

The developer explained that it will use a time delay when communicating with servers managed by Nvidia. This indicator will give an idea of ​​​​the location of the chip.

This feature will first be available on the latest Blackwell chips, which have more security features. The company is also exploring options for previous generations.

If implemented, Nvidia's program would respond to calls from the White House to prevent chip smuggling. The innovation should reduce the potential, for example, of China in the field of AI.
