Microsoft is investigating the disappearance of SSD after updating Windows 11

Microsoft registered several messages. All relate to the installation of the Windows 11 KB5063878 update. It leads to some owners of the PC to the «disappearance» SSD drives. It implies their invisibility for OS. For some, the drives begin to fail.

Microsoft confirmed Xrust that the specialists were investigating the Windows 11 security complaints, which leads to the disappearance of SSD-drives from the user PC.

Problems concerns the update of Windows 11 24H2, KB5063878, which is distributed from last week. It is designed to solve the problem with delays in the entrance to the system on new devices. After the update, some users noticed serious errors in the operation of the SSD drives.

The first pcs from Japan were the first to worry. It is already clear that the problem is manifested on SSD, filled with 60+% after a continuous recording of about 50 GB. This can be relevant if you load and install a large software package, for example, a game for PC.

So far, the computer community warns that it is desirable not to set this update. Of course, Windows 11 installs it automatically, but it can be rolling it up.
