League of Legends, Riot Games recently announced, will undergo major changes. The deadline has also been named — after 2026. In recent months, the Internet has been filled with rumors regarding the continuation of the game. Now Riot has confirmed that there will be no League of Legends 2.
League of Legends, developers xrust said on social networks, will undergo a remake. The game, after “modernization,” will be released in early 2027. This update will, in particular, include:
- rework of the game client
- improvement of some visual effects and gameplay
A complete list of what the update will contain was not provided, but the developers promised that details will still be made public in second half of next year.
Overall, marketers say this update makes sense for several reasons. Firstly, the current version was released in 2009, and although it has been updated countless times, some old elements of the game (particularly the client) still need modernization.
