How to choose the right winter boots

Finding great winter boots is not easy It’s really difficult: they must be warm, waterproof and have good soles. It's harder to find good ones that match your clothes.

Marketers advise organizing the choice of boots as follows:
— first, technical requirements. Look for waterproof leather or sealed seams, hidden waterproof membranes or lightweight insulated lining, grippy but not bulky soles, and plenty of room for a thick toe box.
— Look for boots that are eight to ten inches tall and have at least 200 grams of insulation. If you live in a particularly cold place, 400-600 grams is recommended. Be sure to choose boots with jagged treads rather than those with wavy lines.
— Now in style. Good city boots combine functionality and clean lines, so they can be worn with jeans, trousers or even a skirt. In other words, avoid obvious details that are immediately associated with the outdoors, such as a voluminous quilted top. Choose leather (or leather-look) boots, a platform or very chunky sole (the further you are from the cold ground, the better) and a narrower silhouette rather than one that resembles a snowmobile.
