The Briton called the best photo “High Five.” It was this masterpiece that received an award in the mammal category. The monkey's posing is described as follows: the young male was especially eager to demonstrate his acrobatic talent — spinning, somersaulting and raising his legs high. It was an absolute pleasure to watch his performance.

The organizers of the competition said that this year the event had a record number of applications. More than 10,000 entries were received from 109 countries. The winners were announced at a ceremony in London on Tuesday evening.

Judges shortlisted 40 entries, which were then passed on to a panel of judges who selected the overall winner, as well as individual category winners.
