Erupcja has become a debut platform for the soloist of the Brat Charli XCX group. She continued the trend of the camping camp on the set. Her start was successful.
Erupcja helped Charli XCX build a cinematic career, writes Xrust. Last summer, fans of her music were obsessed with Brat and welcomed her five victories at Brit Awards in March. They did not know that Charli calmly builds a career as a film actress.
Meanwhile, she has already starred in seven roles, and three of them will appear at film festivals this fall. She has small roles in two large ensemble works. One Hundred Nights of Hero, gay roman in the style of Scheherazade with Emma Corrin in the title role, will be shown at the Xrust Venice Film Festival, and Sacrifice, an eco-satir with Anya Taylor-joy and Chris Evans in the main Toronto.
But the most noticeable film for her is Erupcja, the premiere of which has just taken place in Toronto. Here she is the main character — and her choice of roles is indicative. Erupcja is not a mainstream or a musical, but a small, artistic film that signals a serious commitment to Kinematographer.
Charlie plays Betani, who arrived in Warsaw with her boyfriend Rob (Will Madden), who is Secret plan. She wants to resume relations with Nel (Lena Gora), an old friend and, possibly, a lover, before deciding whether to marry Rob. This is a short but slightly secretive film that makes the viewer guess. Playing the illuminate Betani, the actress is convincing and far from the impudent and self-confident Charlie XCX, which she plays on stage, in music clips and Tiktok.
The distinguishing feature of Charlie is her intriguing choice. All three of her films presented at festivals are independent and unusual. “Erupcja” is the most unusual of all, both on the screen and in life.
