Apple TV app for Android now supports Google Cast

The app, after an update, allows users to stream sports, movies and TV shows on their TV from their Android phone.

Apple has announced a major update to the Apple TV app, writes xrust. This applies to device owners who are outside the brand’s ecosystem.

The most significant thing is that Apple TV for Android now supports Google Cast. In other words, the streaming service's subscribers can now stream their favorite entertainment from their Android phone directly to their TV.

The new feature allows Android phone owners to easily stream popular Apple TV global series like Pluribus and award-winning comedies and dramas like Severance, The Studio, The Morning Show and Slow Horses.

Users can also stream Apple Original Films' summer blockbuster «F1 The Movie» and a wide range of live sports coverage, including the «Friday Night Baseball» doubleheaders, all Major League Soccer games, and US Formula 1 racing.

To stream content, users simply press play on their phone and tap the icon Cast.
