The choice of Angel City Jewelers does not seem random. The artist has been wearing jewelry from this particular house for years — for example, a diamond pendant in the style of the Dallas Cowboys, which in 2019 the media estimated at $250 thousand. So for the engagement ring, Malone turned not to a random craftsman, but to people whom he himself calls practically family — the jewelers directly wrote in the caption of the post, calling the singer “brother.”

Nobody names the official cost — neither Malone himself nor his jewelers. But independent experts did not refuse to share their forecasts. Olivia Landau, founder of The Clear Cut (now part of Blue Nile), estimated the stone to be worth between $1 million and $2 million. Ali Galgano of New York's Serpentine Jewels went further and put the figure at 2.5 million.

At the current exchange rate, this is from 80 to almost 200 million rubles — the amount for which in Moscow you can buy several apartments in a prestigious area, and this is only for one stone, without taking into account the frame and work.

Galgano, in a conversation with reporters, noted a broader trend: recently, star engagement rings are increasingly relying on unusual cuts, vintage stones and custom settings, rather than on size. Lee's ring, she says, rather brings back the fashion for rings in the spirit of the 2000s — one huge stone, a classic solitaire frame and no restraint. A kind of demonstrative luxury, which, in contrast with the minimalism of recent seasons, looks almost defiant.

The romance with Lee did not start out of nowhere: the couple was first spotted together in March 2025, and a month later they dined at the Parisian Beefbar steakhouse and went shopping together. Christy Lee, judging by the information on her website, works as a stylist and creative director, and received her education at Parsons School of Design in New York.
