The ceremony took place in the 167 Events loft on the 17th floor of the 167 Green building — with views of skyscrapers and an abundance of greenery and bright flowers in the spirit of a «garden party». The design generally corresponds to the profession of the newlyweds: both are musical theater artists by training, so the decor and musical accompaniment of the ceremony were approached as if it were a production.

Ceremony under The Beatles and Cranberries

Plutnicki walked down the aisle to The Cranberries' «Dreams» in a tailored olive three-piece suit. Iole appeared to a string version of “Here Comes the Sun” — in a strapless dress from Viero Bridal, which, according to her, was not found at the first fitting: she was looking for something at the same time romantic and with a touch of drama.

The couple wrote the vows themselves, and the ceremony was performed by their family friend. At the reception, the bride changed into a silver minidress with sequins, and the newlyweds danced their first dance to Billy Joel's «You're My Home» — the same song to which a year ago Plutnitsky proposed on the pedestrian bridge in Lincoln Park, getting down on one knee with the evening Chicago skyline in the background.

Guests were fed a choice of steak or ratatouille, and for dessert they were served a four-tier cake with two flavors — almond-caramel and lemon-raspberry, with a common vanilla cream.

The couple also divided their honeymoon into two parts: immediately after the wedding — a short stay at a bed and breakfast hotel in Saugatuck (Michigan, a resort town on the shores of Lake Michigan), and a full-fledged trip — in the new year, to the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean.

The couple's relationship began in 2021 at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, where both worked as actors for one season. The engagement happened only four years later, in April 2025 — Plutnitsky proposed on that same pedestrian bridge in Lincoln Park under “You're My Home”, and the ring was adorned with a large emerald surrounded by two diamonds.
