According to a statement from FulcrumSec, the attackers were in the internal infrastructure of Novo Nordisk for more than two months. During this time, they allegedly gained access to a huge amount of data, including the source code of software products, internal documents, information about drugs being produced and developed, clinical trial materials, as well as data from employees, doctors and patients.
Particular attention is drawn to allegations that the company’s internal AI developments have been compromised. According to the hackers, among the stolen materials is information about proprietary artificial intelligence models used by Novo Nordisk for research and development of new drugs.
The company has not yet confirmed the full scale of the leak. Representatives of Novo Nordisk said only that they are aware of the publication of data allegedly copied from internal systems without permission, and continue to interact with law enforcement agencies and information security experts.
