Death Stranding 2: On the Beach releases on PC on March 19 – what is known about the version

Kojima Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment have confirmed the release date for the PC version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The release of Hideo Kojima's project on personal computers will take place March 19, 2026 . The game, previously exclusive to PlayStation 5, will become available on the Steam and Epic Games Store digital stores in exactly nine days.

Features of the PC version

The PC port of Death Stranding 2 was handled by Nixxes Software, which has proven itself to be a high-quality adaptation of games for the PC platform, writes xrust. What the game is about: the plot

The events of Death Stranding 2 start 11 months after the finale of the first part. Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus), who united the disparate cities of America through a chiral network, retired and settled in a secluded place on the border with Mexico with Lou, the same BB whom he saved in the original and is now raising as an adopted daughter.

The idyll collapses when Fragile (Léa Seydoux) comes to Sam asking for help. She has founded a new organization, Drawbridge, and needs a courier to connect Mexico to the chiral network. This opens Tile Gates, giant portals that allow instant travel between continents. The goal of the expedition is Australia, where the team goes on the ship DHV Magellan under the command of the mysterious Captain Tarman (George Miller).

However, Sam soon faces tragedy: his hideout is attacked by mysterious armed forces, and Lou dies. The grief-stricken courier agrees to join the Drawbridge mission, unaware that in Australia he will find answers to questions about the past, a meeting with the mysterious girl Tumorrow (Elle Fanning) and a new clash with the returned Higgs (Troy Baker).

New game modes

The release of the PC version will be accompanied by the activation of new game modes and functions that will become available simultaneously on PC and PS5. According to producer Jay Boor of Kojima Productions, these innovations will offer players «new challenges and rewards.» The developers promise to reveal the details of these modes closer to the release date, but insiders suggest that we may be talking about rated deliveries or cooperative tests.
