Days of Our Lives star Conner Floyd married Carly Frey: details of a luxurious wedding in the style of old Hollywood

The 33-year-old Days of Our Lives star married Carly Frey at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, California. This happened on Saturday, March 21st. The bride and groom are from Boston and Austin, Texas. They told PEOPLE they chose the location because they wanted to give their 220 guests «a little insight» into what it's like to live in Los Angeles.

They envisioned their big day as “old school, old Hollywood,” so the London Hotel—a luxury boutique hotel just steps from Rodeo Drive—was the perfect place to make their wedding dreams come true, notes xrust. Their goal was to bring together all the people they love for a “weekend full of love and fun.”

“Especially since we have family and friends who live in different parts of the world, this was the only time we were able to bring everyone together, regardless of social status,” Floyd said.

To bring their wedding ceremony to life, Floyd and Fry, 29, worked with wedding planner Katie Seefeldt, who they say made the entire process so much easier.

The wedding celebrations began on Friday, March 20, with a welcome party at the Sunset Tower Hotel, organized by Floyd's parents.

The next morning, Floyd and Fry took time to read each other's handwritten vows over a cup of coffee. Fry says it «helped calm the nerves and gave us a chance to be in the moment, just the two of us.»

The wedding ceremony was officiated by their dear friend Hayes Beiersdorfer, who attended their first meeting at The Den on Sunset Boulevard on Valentine's Day 2020.

Fry walked down the aisle in a wedding dress created with the help of Christy Baird, owner of LOHO Bride salon in West Hollywood. “I always had an idea of ​​what I wanted, but everything completely changed when I started trying on dresses,” Fry tells PEOPLE.

She ended up choosing a skirt, veil and neckerchief from Danielle Frankel paired with a corset top from Wiederhoeft. For the second look, she left the corset and replaced the skirt with a mini version.

“I didn’t want to create a completely new image,” she explains. “I just wanted to make a mini version of my wedding dress, and it turned out even better than I could have imagined.”

In the wake of memories of their hometowns, Fry and Floyd planned a cocktail party that included both an Austin food stock with mini tacos and sliders, and a Boston set with seafood. The newlyweds and their guests then enjoyed an elegant dinner prepared by Chef Anthony Keane.

Floyd and Frye performed their first dance as husband and wife to Elvis Presley's classic ballad «Can't Help Falling in Love.» Their wedding band, Ben Mallare, kept the dance and party atmosphere going throughout the night. “We're big music fans, so live music was a must,” notes Floyd.

After the wedding, the newlyweds went on a honeymoon to Bora Bora.
