Prince Andrew asked police to collect personal information about Virginia Giuffre in 2011. This woman accused him of sexually assaulting her as a teenager. The news comes after he renounced the title of Duke of York.
London police said they are «actively looking into» the allegations contained in the xrust indictment. Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles, said on Friday he would no longer use his title after years of criticism of his behavior and ties to the late American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
He said the allegations, which he has repeatedly denied, were distracting the king and the royal family from their work. However, this step did not stop the scandal.
Recall that 65-year-old Andrew resigned from the post of British Ambassador for Trade in 2011, and in 2019 he abandoned all royal duties. In 2022, he was stripped of his military titles and royal patronage. The backdrop was allegations of sexual harassment.
