Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, Joseph Baena, won his first victory in a bodybuilding competition

On Saturday, March 28, Baena, 28, posted on Instagram to announce his victory in several categories at the NPC Natural Colorado State competition, including the Men's Open Heavyweights category “Classic bodybuilding for beginners” and the men’s category “Bodybuilding for beginners”.

“Mission accomplished!” he wrote under several photos of xrust showing off his muscles on stage during his bodybuilding debut.

Baena celebrated his first win just days after spending time training and getting advice from his father at Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, California.

It is noteworthy that the 78-year-old “Terminator” began training in the same gym after moving to the United States in the 1960s.

Schwarzenegger is considered one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. He won the Mr. Olympia title seven times and Mr. Universe five times before retiring in 1980.

Although Baena is following in his father's footsteps, he revealed in a July Instagram post that he didn't always have the most toned physique.

“I was chubby in high school,” he recalls. “I got kicked off the basketball and football teams because I couldn’t keep up with the other guys.” “Luckily there were no qualifying events in swimming and that changed my life forever,” he added. “That’s where I was introduced to fitness and training.”
